Roaming the highlands
Covering the majority of this massive island’s interior, lays the majestic Icelandic highlands: an extensive volcanic desert
that contains the majority of the country’s natural attractions. A barren, almost uninhabitable area, the highlands
offer isolation, serenity, peace and surreal natural beauty.
We roamed for a week around this incredible region in search of volcanoes, glaciers,
black terrain desserts and geothermal grounds. A magical connection with nature not found anywhere else in the world.
